Research Proposals
Research proposals submitted on a rolling basis will be reviewed and prioritized by the RRAG. The RRAG’s charge is to promote the highest quality internal, non-commercial Reg-ent-associated research to advance the field of otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and help define quality care within the specialty. The RRAG will review and prioritize study proposals. The following criteria will aid in the prioritization:
- Identified AAO-HNS/F knowledge gaps as put forth by the Reg-ent Executive Committee (REC), Executive Committee (EC)/Board of Directors (BOD), Centralized Otolaryngology Research Efforts (CORE), and Guidelines Task Force (GTF).
- The proposal score will evaluate the feasibility and derive a rating based on the following areas:
- Significance/Clinical Impact
- AAO-HNS/F Knowledge gap
- Specialty needs as determined by the BOD
- Achievability of protocol
- Methodology
- Timeline
- Principal Investigator (PI)/Collaborators research experience
- History of AAO-HNSF committee involvement and support
